HPCC Meetings

Online meetings are held on the first and third Saturdays of each month, as per the calendar below. In person meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month. The fourth Saturday may be used for meetings at other venues, meetings outside London, special events, etc.

In Person Meetings 2026

In person club meetings are held on the second Saturday of every month. The "second Saturday" meetings have now been going for over 40 years. Meetings usually start around 11:00 and finish at 17:00. All existing and prospective members are welcome.

Directions

Our meetings are in the Physics Common Room (PCR) in the Physics Department (also called the Blackett Laboratory) of Imperial College in South Kensington. The nearest underground station is South Kensington. Follow the signposts in the station to the museums or walk north along Exhibition Road. Turn left along Prince Consort Road. The building is at the end of the road on the corner of Prince Consort Road and Queen's Gate - building 6 on the map below.

Once in the building go up to level 8. The Physics Common Room is on your left as you get out of the lift. Should you get lost, ask someone for the directions to the Physics Common Room.

If you are unable to get into the building, call +44 7933 901927 or the number shown on the HPCC notice on the entrance door and ask for someone to come down and let you in. There are public payphones near to the building entrance.

Online Meetings 2026

Online meetings are via Webex and start at 15:00 GMT (UTC) in the winter and 15:00 BST (UTC+1) in the summer. Online meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. This will allow club members to attend both physical and virtual meetings if they wish.
